Founded in 2021, Sunrise has quickly grown into a British Independent Film Awards qualifying competition, co-produced by Sunrise Studios, a local community production company. The festival provides an inclusive platform for filmmakers from all backgrounds to have their work seen, heard and celebrated - not just in the industry, but by communities often overlooked by the wider cultural conversation.
